Farhana Ahmed, D.O.

Dr. Farhana Ahmed is a board certified Diplomat of the American Osteopathic Board of Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation. Dr. Ahmed received her medical degree at New York College of Osteopathic Medicine, New York Institute of Technology. She completed a traditional rotating internship at Long Beach Medical Center. She then proceeded to complete her residency in Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation at Mercy Medical Center.

During her residency, Dr. Ahmed served as the chief resident and aimed to educate the next generation of leaders in the field of rehabilitation medicine. She has a special interest in musculoskeletal medicine and treats her patients from a holistic approach. Dr. Ahmed treats an array of acute and chronic conditions using various modalities including physical therapy, joint injections and medications. She also utilizes electrodiagnostic medicine to diagnose various types of entrapment neuropathies as well as conditions related to the spine.

Dr. Ahmed is a member of the American Osteopathic College of Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation as well as American Osteopathic Association.

She encourages her patients to lead a healthy lifestyle for achieving overall positive and healthy outcome. Dr. Ahmed enjoys exercising, traveling and reading.
